Kirklees Connect to Support - one of the original founding Local Authorities in our regional Yorkshire and Humber group, Kirklees Council worked with us to set up the 'Connect to Support' concept back in 2011. They are now working with us to refresh and improve their site to provide a fuller range of Information, Advice and Guidance content, and the development of new Community Directories, to be co-produced with third sector organisations in the area. Kirklees also have a Bed Management module which allows care homes to update the number of beds they have available by means of a quick email or text message each week, enabling the commissioning teams to keep up to date without the need to ring each home.
In 2020, we won the contract to develop a new Kirklees Local Offer site, co-developed with parent group, PCAN. This has moved the information away from the Local Authority corporate site and is designed to be adult and child friendly and to address the specific needs of the local demographic, both in terms of language and abilities. The site is viewed by the Council as an ongoing project with potential new developments being reviewed on a regular basis.
